City driving puts extra load on electrical systems. Is this accelerating alternator wear in local conditions?

Short trips and urban traffic like in Lahore, Karachi, Islamabad are hard on alternators:

The alternator has less runtime to recharge the battery.

Repeated engine starts draw heavy current, increasing wear.

Cooling is less effective at low speeds, worsening thermal stress.

Result: Accelerated alternator wear and poor battery charging.
