Considering the rough and uneven roads commonly found in Pakistan, does this contribute to premature alternator failure? What preventive measures can E-Class owners take to protect their alternator?

Rough roads and potholes common in Pakistan can impact alternator health by:

Vibration Damage: Continuous jolts may loosen alternator mounts o r damage internal components.

Belt Wear: Uneven terrain can cause the serpentine belt that drives the alternator to wear o r slip.

Dust and Dirt: Ingress of dust can cause overheating o r damage electrical contacts.

Preventive Measures: Regularly inspect and tighten mounts and belts, keep the engine bay clean, and have the charging system checked during routine service. Driving carefully over rough patches also helps extend component life.
