How often should I replace spark plugs in my BMW 2 Series considering Pakistan’s driving conditions?

I drive mostly in Karachi’s stop-and-go traffic and sometimes on rough roads. How frequently should I change the spark plugs in my BMW 218i to avoid performance issues?

BMW usually recommends spark plug replacement every 100,000 km for models with iridium o r platinum plugs, but in Pakistan, where fuel quality may be inconsistent and traffic is heavy, its safer to replace them at 50,000–60,000 km.

Frequent short trips, excessive idling, and high engine loads in cities like Karachi o r Lahore can cause plugs to wear out sooner.

Preventive replacement avoids engine strain and helps maintain fuel efficiency.
