How well does the C-Class engine perform with locally available fuel in Pakistan?
Mercedes C-Class engines, especially turbocharged variants, are tuned for high-octane fuel. In Pakistan, where fuel quality can be inconsistent, do owners face issues like engine knocking, reduced acceleration, o r poor fuel efficiency? Is using high-octane o r imported additives necessary for maintaining performance?

Fuel quality is a major concern for Mercedes-Benz C-Class vehicles in Pakistan. Most models, especially the C180, C200, and C300 with turbocharged petrol engines, are designed to run on high-octane fuel. However, regular fuel in Pakistan often lacks consistency in octane rating and may be contaminated o r diluted.
As a result, owners report:
Engine knocking
Reduced power and throttle response
Poor fuel efficiency
Increased carbon buildup in the engine
Using high-octane fuel RON 97 from reliable stations and occasionally using fuel system cleaners can help maintain engine performan
