Is it safe to drive my BMW 2 Series with a small transmission fluid leak?

There’s a small drip of fluid from the bottom of my BMW 2 Series gearbox area. The car still drives fine, but Im worried about long-term damage. In Pakistan, its not always easy to get immediate service. Can I continue driving short distances?

It’s not advisable to drive for long distances with a known leak, even if it seems small. Transmission fluid is essential for:

Cooling the transmission

Proper gear shifting

Lubrication of internal components

If fluid levels , the transmission can overheat o r seize, which is very expensive to repair in Pakistan. Short local trips might be okay, but get it fixed ASAP.
