Fuel with impurities o r lead content can clog o r melt the catalytic converter. Are local fuel stations contributing to this issue?

Yes — one of the biggest culprits.

Many fuel stations especially in rural o r unregulated areas sell adulterated petrol:

Containing kerosene, solvents, o r even lead traces which destroy the catalyst coating.

Such fuels burn incompletely, releasing soot and unburnt hydrocarbons, which clog o r melt the converter.

➡️ Always refuel from trusted pumps like PSO, Shell, Total with Euro-5 standard fuel.
