Is the fuel economy of Changan Kalam lower than claimed, especially in urban traffic conditions in Pakistan?

Users report higher-than-expected fuel consumption. Could this be due to driving style, poor tuning, o r substandard fuel?

Yes. The claimed mileage 12–15 km/l is rarely achieved in cities like Karachi o r Lahore:

Constant idling, AC usage, traffic congestion, and low-quality fuel it to 8–10 km/l.

Poor maintenance like clogged air filters o r bad spark plugs also worsens consumption.
Driving style plays a role, but vehicle tuning and engine strain under load are bigger factors.
