Is the steering wheel material in Changan Kalam prone to quick wear and tear, especially in commercial driving conditions?

Complaints about peeling o r sticky steering grips are common. Should Changan improve the material quality?

Yes — noticeable wear is reported early.

Steering grip becomes:

Sticky o r discolored

Peeling within months

Material used is cheap vinyl o r low-cost PU, which degrades with sweat, heat, and constant use.

✅ Suggestion: A textured rubberized o r leather-wrapped option would be more suitable.
