Is transmission failure common after 100,000 km in Mercedes C-Class Pakistan?
I’m considering buying a used 2012 C200 with around 115,000 km on the odometer. Some people say the 7G-Tronic gearbox fails after 100,000 km if the ATF was never changed. How true is this for vehicles driven in Pakistans conditions? Should I be worried about transmission failure at this mileage?

Many C-Class owners in Pakistan skip o r delay transmission fluid service because some mechanics falsely claim it’s lifetime fluid. In reality, for 7G-Tronic transmissions 722.9, fluid should ideally be changed every 60,000–80,000 km in our local driving conditions hot weather, stop-and-go traffic.
Before buying a used Mercedes with 100,000+ km:
Ask for transmission service history
Check for delayed shifting, hard gear changes, o r noises
Have a Mercedes specialist inspect it
Preventive maintenance is key. A well-maintained unit can easily last 200,000+ km.
