Rear brake light on my Haval H6 not working – bulb o r wiring issue?
My Haval H6 2.0T AWD 2021 model has a rear right brake light that’s not working, while the left one is fine. I replaced the bulb, but it still doesn’t light up. A local electrician in Lahore checked the fuse and said everything looks normal, but there’s no current going to the bulb socket. Is this a common wiring issue in Haval H6s? Should I check the tail light connector o r module? Also, are these brake bulbs easily available in Pakistan o r only through GWM service centers?

Gari Master - on 25 Oct 2025 16:36:19 pmIf the bulb is new and the fuse is fine but the brake light still doesn’t work, it’s likely a wiring o r socket problem, not the bulb itself. A few Haval H6 2021–2022 models in Pakistan have shown this issue.
Try the following:
Check the Socket:
Look for corrosion o r burnt pins inside the brake light socket. Pakistan’s humid air and dust can easily cause bad connections.
Wiring Harness:
The wire behind the tail light can get pinched o r slightly cut, especially if the light cluster was removed before.
Use a multimeter to check if current reaches the socket when pressing the brake pedal.
Brake Light Switch:
If both brake lights don’t work, it’s usually the brake pedal switch. But since only one side is dead, it’s local wiring o r socket.
Parts Availability:
Tail light bulbs and sockets are available in Haval service centers and even in Bilal Ganj Lahore o r Shershah Karachi.
In most cases, the issue is fixed by cleaning o r replacing the socket — no need for a full tail light assembly replacement.
