Rusty Water and Wet Marks on Radiator — Normal o r a Leak in United Alpha?

When I inspected my United Alpha’s radiator, I noticed rusty coolant and some wet marks around the side tanks. The coolant also looks brownish instead of green. Does rust indicate an internal radiator leak o r corrosion? What usually causes this problem in Pakistani weather and water quality?

Brown o r rusty coolant indicates corrosion inside the radiator, which is common in Pakistan when tap water o r low-quality coolant is used. Corrosion weakens the metal core and can cause hidden leaks.

What rusty coolant means

Radiator is corroding internally

Cooling efficiency s significantly

Small internal leaks may be forming

Deposits can clog radiator tubes

Wet marks on the radiator

These usually appear around:

Side tank joints

Bottom tank seam

Radiator hose connection points

This shows coolant is seeping out slowly.

What to do

Flush the cooling system thoroughly.

Replace with proper coolant not water.

If corrosion is severe, replacing the radiator is better than repairing it.

A heavily corroded radiator will keep leaking even after temporary fixes.
