What are the common mechanical reasons for excessive oil consumption in BMW 2 Series engines in Pakistan?

My BMW 220i has started consuming oil rapidly, even though there are no visible leaks. Could worn piston rings, valve seals, o r turbocharger issues be the cause? How can I diagnose and repair these problems locally?

Mechanical issues causing oil consumption include:

Worn piston rings o r cylinder walls allowing oil to enter combustion chambers

Degraded valve stem seals causing oil to leak into the cylinders, especially noticeable at startup

Turbocharger seal leaks, common in turbocharged BMW 2 Series engines, leading to oil entering intake o r exhaust systems

PCV Positive Crankcase Ventilation valve malfunction, causing pressure buildup and oil leaks
Diagnosing these issues typically requires a compression test, leak-down test, and visual inspection. Local BMW specialists o r authorized service centers in Karachi, Lahore, and Islamabad can perform these diagnostics.
