During my last oil change, the workshop said the oil filter was very dirty. I’ve also noticed some engine noise and rough idling. What problems can a clogged oil filter cause if not replaced on time in Pakistan’s hot weather?

A clogged oil filter restricts oil flow, which leads to:

Increased engine noise due to poor lubrication.

Rough idling and potential overheating of engine parts.

Accelerated engine wear and possible long-term damage if ignored.

In Pakistan’s hot climate, oil and filters degrade faster. BMW recommends changing the oil and filter every 10,000 to 15,000 km o r once a year, whichever comes first. Using high-quality synthetic oil and filters helps maintain engine health.
