What are the signs that a dead battery is causing the air conditioning system in my Mercedes-Benz E-Class to malfunction?

I suspect my Mercedes-Benz E-Class has a dead battery o r electrical issue because the AC is not cooling properly. What are the common symptoms that link a weak o r dead battery to AC failure? How can I test if the battery is the root cause of the AC not blowing cold air?

Common signs that a dead o r weak battery is affecting your AC include:

AC compressor clutch not engaging o r cycling on and off.

Weak o r no airflow from the vents blower motor not running at full speed.

Intermittent AC operation o r the system shutting off unexpectedly.

Warning lights on the dashboard related to electrical o r climate control systems.

Difficulty starting the engine o r electrical accessories malfunctioning alongside AC issues.

How to test:

Use a multimeter to check the battery voltage should be around 12.6V when the car is off and 13.5-14.5V when running.

Check for corrosion o r loose battery terminals.

Perform a battery load test at an auto service center.
