What causes premature rusting on the body of the Suzuki Swift?

Rust formation on door edges, undercarriage, o r wheel wells has been noticed in Swifts within just a few years of use. Is it due to poor-quality paint o r lack of undercoating? What are the best ways to protect the car from rust in Pakistani weather conditions?

Rust formation, especially on door sills, underbody, and near wheel arches, is fairly common due to:

Inadequate undercoating o r rust-proofing by the manufacturer.

Exposure to moisture, road salt, o r polluted water during the rainy season o r when driving through puddles.

Minor scratches o r dents left untreated that allow rust to start forming.

Solutions:

Apply aftermarket underbody rust protection coating.

Use anti-rust sprays on door joints and exposed metal areas.

Touch up paint chips immediately to prevent corrosion from starting.
