What causes the steering in my BMW 2 Series to vibrate while driving on highways in Pakistan?

While driving at higher speeds on the motorway, the steering wheel on my BMW 218i starts vibrating. Is this due to wheel alignment o r a problem with the steering components? How can I get it diagnosed properly in Pakistan?

Steering wheel vibration at high speeds e.g., on the M-2 Motorway is usually caused by:

Unbalanced tires o r bent rims from pothole impacts common in Pakistan.

Worn tie rod ends o r steering linkage, which can transmit road vibrations to the steering wheel.

Brake rotor warping if vibration is only while braking.

Wheel alignment o r suspension damage.

Have the wheels balanced and suspension checked. Wheel alignment alone may not fix the problem if components are worn o r damaged.
