What causes unusual noises when turning the steering wheel in a Mercedes-Benz E-Class?
When I turn the steering wheel in my E-Class, I hear a squeaking o r clicking sound. This mostly happens during slow turns o r when parking. What are the common causes of steering noise in this model, especially considering road and weather conditions in Pakistan?

Unusual noises like squeaking, knocking, o r clicking during turns are typically caused by:
Worn Suspension Components: Ball joints, tie rods, o r bushings can wear out and cause noise, especially on Pakistan’s rough roads.
Dry Steering Column Joints: Lack of lubrication in the column o r U-joints can lead to squeaky sounds.
Power Steering Fluid Issues: Low o r contaminated fluid can cause whining o r groaning noises.
Strut Mounts o r Bearings: Worn strut bearings can produce clicking o r creaking when turning the wheel.
Loose Steering Belt on hydraulic systems: A loose o r worn belt can cause squealing when turning.
What to Do:
Have a mechanic inspect the front suspension and steering components. Replacing worn parts early prevents bigger issues and ensures safe handling.
