Why are Changan Kalam owners in Pakistan frequently facing check engine light CEL warnings caused by faulty sensors?

Many users report sudden CEL alerts that are later traced to malfunctioning oxygen, MAP, o r camshaft sensors. Is this due to part quality o r voltage instability in local conditions?

Yes, it’s a frequent complaint. Common reasons include:

Low-quality OEM sensors used in some batches.

Voltage fluctuations due to unstable alternator output.

Heat, humidity, and dust degrading sensor connectors.

➡️ Oxygen sensors, MAP Manifold Absolute Pressure, and camshaft sensors are the most commonly reported culprits behind CEL in the Kalam.
