This is increasingly reported, with failures occurring even below 30,000–50,000 km. Main causes include:

Poor fuel combustion due to short-distance driving.

Low-grade petrol leading to carbon build-up in the converter.

Delayed o r poor maintenance dirty air filters, misfiring spark plugs.

Prolonged idling in traffic especially in Lahore, Karachi, Rawalpindi.
