Why do electrical components in my Mercedes E-Class malfunction after rainy o r humid weather?
My Mercedes E-Class W212 sometimes shows electrical problems like dashboard errors, window controls not working, o r flickering lights after driving in rain o r during humid seasons. Is this a common issue with Mercedes-Benz vehicles in Pakistan? Could poor insulation, water ingress, o r sensor failure be the reason?

This is a common issue in Pakistan, especially in coastal o r high-humidity areas like Karachi:
Water ingress: Rainwater can enter poorly sealed areas like under the windshield o r door panels and reach electronic control modules.
Faulty seals o r gaskets: Aged door o r trunk seals may allow moisture in, damaging window motors o r tail light circuits.
Sensor corrosion: ABS, TPMS, and other sensor connectors can corrode due to humidity.
Aftermarket wiring problems: Poor-quality alarm systems o r stereo installations often cause shorts in damp conditions.
What to do:
Inspect and replace damaged door, trunk, o r windshield seals.
Use dielectric grease on key connectors to prevent corrosion.
Keep electronic modules dry and elevated.
Avoid aftermarket electrical modifications unless done professionally.
