Why do my Mercedes-Benz tires develop patchy o r cupped wear patterns despite regular maintenance?

My Mercedes C180 W203 tires develop patchy o r cupped tread wear, making the ride noisy and uncomfortable. I ensure regular tire rotation and maintain recommended tire pressure. Could this be caused by worn shock absorbers, wheel balancing issues, o r poor road surfaces in Pakistan? What steps should I take to address this?

Patchy o r cupped tire wear, causing noise and vibration, is commonly due to:

Worn shock absorbers o r struts: Poor damping causes tires to bounce excessively, leading to uneven contact.

Wheel balancing issues: Unbalanced wheels cause vibrations and irregular tread wear.

Poor road surfaces: Rough, uneven roads common in Pakistan contribute to uneven tire wear.

Improper tire rotation o r uneven tire pressure: Can exacerbate wear patterns.

What to do:

Replace worn shock absorbers o r struts promptly.

Get wheels balanced and aligned regularly.

Rotate tires according to Mercedes-Benz recommended intervals.

Maintain correct tire pressure and avoid sudden impacts on potholes.
