Why do the low beam headlight bulbs in my Kia Stonic keep burning out every few months? Detail:
I own a 2022 Kia Stonic and I’ve already replaced the low beam headlight bulbs twice in less than a year. I usually drive in city areas like Lahore and sometimes on highways. I’m using standard halogen bulbs not aftermarket LEDs. Is this a common issue with Kia Stonic in Pakistan? Could it be due to voltage fluctuations, poor quality bulbs, o r maybe an issue in the electrical system? Any suggestions on how to fix this permanently?

Yes, this issue has been reported by several Kia Stonic owners in Pakistan, particularly in cities like Lahore, Karachi, and Faisalabad. There are a few common causes for this:
🔧 Possible Reasons:
Voltage Spikes o r Fluctuations:
If your vehicle’s alternator o r electrical system has minor voltage surges, it can shorten the life of halogen bulbs.
Poor Quality Replacement Bulbs:
Many local workshops install low-cost, non-OEM bulbs, which tend to burn out much faster.
Vibration from Rough Roads:
Driving on uneven o r bumpy roads especially in rural Punjab o r Sindh can cause filament damage in halogen bulbs due to excessive vibration.
Faulty Headlight Housing o r Moisture:
If the headlight housing is not sealed properly, moisture o r dust can cause the bulb to overheat o r short out.
✅ Solutions:
Use OEM-quality o r branded halogen bulbs e.g., Philips, Osram.
Install a voltage stabilizer if voltage fluctuation is detected.
Consider switching to LED bulbs, which last longer and are more vibration-resistant.
Get your headlight wiring and fuse box checked by a trusted electrician.
Make sure the headlight assembly is sealed properly against dust and water.
