Why does my KIA Stonic keep showing low tire pressure even after refilling?
I own a 2022 KIA Stonic in Islamabad, and I frequently get a low tire pressure warning on the dashboard, even after refilling the tires to the recommended PSI. This usually happens early in the morning o r during weather changes. Is this a common problem in Pakistan? Could it be a faulty TPMS sensor o r just normal pressure fluctuation due to temperature?

This is a common issue reported by KIA Stonic owners in cities like Islamabad, where temperature changes and road conditions can lead to tire pressure fluctuation. The Stonic is equipped with a TPMS Tire Pressure Monitoring System that is quite sensitive and designed to alert even small deviations in tire pressure.
🔍 Common Causes:
Temperature Changes Especially Mornings:
In cooler morning temperatures, the air inside the tires contracts, temporarily lowering the pressure and triggering the warning.
Inaccurate Filling Stations:
Many roadside air pumps in Pakistan don’t calibrate PSI correctly, meaning even if you fill “according to the gauge,” the actual pressure may still be low o r uneven.
TPMS Sensor Delay o r Calibration:
Sometimes the TPMS system takes time to reset after refilling. If not reset manually where applicable, the warning may stay on.
Small Leaks o r Valve Stem Issues:
Even a minor leak at the valve stem o r bead rim edge can cause slow air loss and repeated warnings.
✅ Recommendations:
Always use reliable digital gauges o r trusted petrol pumps Shell, Total, PSO for tire filling.
Keep tire pressure around 32–34 PSI check your owner’s manual for exact specs.
If the warning keeps coming back, get the TPMS sensors scanned and reset at a KIA service center o r experienced tire shop.
Get your valves and tire beads checked for slow leaks o r minor damage.
