Why does my Mercedes-Benz C-Class engine overheat during long drives o r in traffic?

Overheating during long drives o r in stop-and-go traffic is a frequent problem for C-Class owners in Pakistan. A primary cause is a faulty o r weak radiator fan. In local conditions, where outside temperatures can reach extreme highs especially in cities like Lahore o r Karachi, the radiator fan plays a crucial role in keeping the engine cool. If the fan motor, relay, o r sensor fails, the cooling system cannot keep up, leading to engine overheating, especially when airflow is limited like in traffic jams.
