Why does my Mercedes-Benz E-Class feel sluggish during acceleration, especially in city traffic?
I drive a Mercedes E-Class W212, and I’ve noticed a delay o r hesitation when accelerating, especially at low speeds o r during stop-and-go traffic in Lahore. The engine doesn’t respond as quickly as before. Could this be due to fuel quality, clogged filters, o r throttle body issues? What should I check to restore performance?

Possible causes:
Dirty throttle body o r EGR valve: Reduces airflow and engine response.
Clogged fuel injectors o r fuel filter: Affects fuel delivery, especially with lower fuel quality in Pakistan.
Low-quality o r contaminated petrol: Can cause pre-detonation o r sluggish combustion.
Failing Mass Air Flow MAF sensor o r O2 sensor: Sends incorrect data to the ECU, affecting acceleration.
Transmission issues: If the gear shifts are delayed o r jerky, acceleration will feel slow.
What to do:
Clean the throttle body and inspect the EGR system.
Use a fuel injector cleaner o r have injectors professionally cleaned.
Try using a trusted high-octane fuel and avoid filling from unknown pumps.
Have the car scanned using a proper diagnostic tool preferably STAR Diagnosis.
Check the transmission for fluid condition and update if necessary.
