Why does my Mercedes-Benz power window operate very slowly o r intermittently?
The power windows in my Mercedes C180 W203 have become very slow and sometimes don’t respond immediately to the switch. The issue happens more during rainy seasons in Islamabad. Could this be related to moisture affecting electrical components o r a failing motor? How can I prevent further damage and ensure smooth window operation?

Slow o r intermittent window operation is commonly caused by:
Moisture ingress: Islamabad’s rainy season increases humidity, which can cause electrical shorts o r corrosion in switch contacts and wiring.
Aging window motor: Motors lose torque and slow down as brushes wear.
Dirty o r sticky window tracks: Without proper lubrication, windows face resistance.
Faulty window switch: Worn contacts can cause intermittent response.
Preventive measures and fixes:
Keep door seals intact to prevent water entry.
Periodically clean and lubricate window tracks.
Inspect and replace old o r corroded wiring/connectors.
Use OEM-quality switches and motors for replacement.
Avoid forcing the window if it’s slow to prevent damage.
