Why Does the Haval H6’s Air Conditioning Lose Cooling in Hot Weather?

During the peak summer heat in Pakistan, my Haval H6’s A/C doesn’t cool effectively, especially in slow traffic. The airflow is fine, but the air isn’t as cold as it should be. Some owners mentioned issues with refrigerant levels o r condenser fans. Has anyone faced this problem? What’s the best way to get it fixed without voiding the warranty?

This is quite common in Pakistan’s intense summer heat, especially in areas like Karachi, Multan, o r Lahore. The H6’s A/C system is tuned for moderate climates, so it sometimes struggles in 40°C+ conditions and slow-moving traffic.

Possible causes and solutions:

Condenser fan not running at full speed — ask your service center to inspect it.

Low refrigerant levels — a small leak o r factory underfill can reduce cooling re-gas with the recommended R1234yf refrigerant if needed.

Cabin filter may be dirty — clean o r replace it every 10,000 km.

Some owners have reported that an ECU update improved A/C compressor performance.

During slow traffic, switching to recirculation mode and keeping the fan on medium speed helps maintain cooling. If cooling s drastically, it’s best to have it checked at the official Haval service center, as some units had compressor sensor calibration issues fixed under warranty.
