Why does the JAC T6 engine sputter during acceleration?
Many JAC T6 owners in Pakistan report that the engine hesitates o r sputters when accelerating, particularly under load o r on inclines. What are the most common causes of this behavior, such as fuel injection problems, clogged filters, turbocharger issues, o r ignition timing faults? How can owners diagnose the root cause and restore smooth acceleration?

Gari Master - on 13 Dec 2025 12:04:28 pmEngine sputtering during acceleration is often caused by fuel delivery o r air intake issues:
Fuel injector problems: Clogged, worn, o r improperly calibrated injectors can cause uneven fuel delivery, resulting in sputtering under load.
Dirty fuel filters: Restricted fuel flow reduces combustion efficiency and causes hesitation during acceleration.
Turbocharger issues: A failing o r sluggish turbo may not provide sufficient boost, leading to temporary power loss and sputtering.
Air intake restrictions: Clogged air filters o r leaks in the intake system reduce airflow, upsetting the fuel-air ratio.
Ignition timing o r sensor problems: Malfunctioning sensors like the mass airflow sensor o r engine control unit ECU issues can disrupt combustion timing.
Solutions / preventive measures:
Regularly inspect and clean o r replace fuel filters and injectors.
Check turbo performance and clean air intake components.
Use high-quality diesel and avoid poor-quality o r contaminated fuel.
Scan for ECU o r sensor fault codes if sputtering persists.
