Why does the power window on my Mercedes E-Class roll down automatically and won’t roll back up?
Sometimes, the power window in my Mercedes E-Class rolls down on its own and refuses to roll back up unless I reset it o r restart the car. Is this related to the window’s anti-pinch safety feature malfunctioning, o r is it a common electronic control issue in local conditions like humidity o r dust in Pakistan?

This problem is commonly related to the window’s anti-pinch safety feature o r the window control module:
Faulty anti-pinch sensor: If the sensor misreads an obstruction even if none exists, it may prevent the window from rolling back up as a safety measure.
Control module glitch: The electronic control unit managing windows can malfunction due to moisture, dust, o r voltage irregularities common in Pakistan.
Calibration issues: The window may need to be reset o r recalibrated through a specific procedure, especially after battery disconnects o r repairs.
Wiring o r connector problems: Faulty wiring can send incorrect signals causing erratic window behavior.
A proper diagnostic and window reset often done by holding the switch in a certain position for several seconds usually resolves this. Keeping connectors clean and dry helps prevent recurring issues.
