Why does the seat adjustment mechanism in my C-Class get stuck o r move slowly?

The electric seat adjustment sometimes becomes sluggish o r stops working entirely, which affects driver and passenger comfort. This may be due to motor faults, wiring problems, o r mechanical blockages in the seat tracks.
