Why is my BMW 2 Series transmission jerking between gears in city traffic?

Ive noticed that my BMW 2 Series 2016 model transmission often jerks o r hesitates when shifting between lower gears, especially in stop-and-go Lahore traffic. Is this a software issue, o r could it be related to low-quality fuel o r local driving conditions?

Jerky o r hesitant shifting in stop-and-go traffic is a known issue in dual-clutch transmissions DCT, especially in hot climates like Pakistans. In such conditions, the DCT can overheat due to constant clutch engagement and disengagement. To mitigate this, its advisable to shift the car into neutral during prolonged stops and use manual mode in heavy traffic to prevent unnecessary shifting. Additionally, regular maintenance, including fluid changes, can help in reducing such issues.
