Why is my Haval H6 1.5T consuming only 7–9 km/L in the city?

I own a 2023 Haval H6 1.5T, and Ive noticed that my fuel consumption is significantly lower than expected. Despite driving in the city with moderate traffic, I am only achieving 7–9 km/L. Is this normal for this model, o r could there be an underlying issue affecting fuel efficiency?

The Haval H6 1.5T is equipped with a 1.5L turbocharged petrol engine. Under normal driving conditions, this variant typically achieves fuel efficiency figures of around 10–11 km/L in the city and 12–13 km/L on the highway

Possible Reasons for Lower Fuel Economy:

Driving Habits: Aggressive acceleration, frequent braking, and high-speed driving can reduce fuel efficiency.

Traffic Conditions: Driving in heavy traffic with frequent stops and starts can lead to lower fuel economy.

Vehicle Load: Carrying excess weight o r using roof racks can increase fuel consumption.

Tire Pressure: Under-inflated tires can increase rolling resistance, reducing fuel efficiency.

Recommendations:

Adopt smooth driving habits, including gradual acceleration and braking.

Ensure tires are inflated to the manufacturers recommended pressure.

Limit the use of air conditioning and remove unnecessary weight from the vehicle.
