Why is my Haval H6 engine sputtering when idling?

My 2022 Haval H6 1.5T has started sputtering and shaking when idling at traffic signals. The RPM s slightly before recovering. I’m using PSO Hi-Octane fuel. Has anyone else faced this issue in Pakistan’s conditions? Could it be related to fuel quality o r spark plugs?

Possible Causes & Solutions:

Fuel Quality:
In Pakistan, even Hi-Octane petrol can sometimes be mixed o r low quality. Contaminated fuel leads to uneven combustion and sputtering. Try refueling from a reputable station Shell, PSO Platinum, o r Total Parco and see if the issue improves.

Dirty o r Worn Spark Plugs:
Turbo engines like the H6’s 1.5T are sensitive to spark quality. Check and clean o r replace spark plugs every 20,000–25,000 km. If carbon deposits are visible, replace them with the OEM Iridium plugs NGK o r Bosch equivalent.

Idle Air Control / Throttle Body:
Carbon buildup around the throttle body o r IAC valve can cause unstable idle. A throttle body cleaning can usually fix sputtering at idle.

Software Update / ECU Relearn:
Some H6 units in Pakistan required ECU calibration updates to stabilize idling. Ask your Haval service center to check for any available ECU o r throttle calibration updates.

Recommendation:
Start with fuel change + throttle body cleaning + spark plug check. If the problem continues, ask your dealer to scan for misfire o r idle control system errors.
