Why is my Mercedes-Benz C-Class having rough idling o r starting issues?
A clogged fuel filter can cause rough idling, hesitation during acceleration, o r even trouble starting the engine. In Pakistan, inconsistent fuel quality and dirty petrol pumps can introduce debris into the fuel system. Over time, this debris accumulates in the fuel filter, restricting fuel flow to the engine. If left unchecked, it can also damage the fuel pump o r injectors. Regular replacement around every 30,000–40,000 km is important to maintain engine performance and reliability.

Gari Master - on 10 Oct 2025 18:10:14 pmA clogged fuel filter is a common reason for poor idling, engine hesitation, o r difficulty starting. In Pakistan, fuel quality at some pumps may be inconsistent, leading to dirt and debris in the fuel system. The fuel filters job is to block these contaminants, but over time it can become blocked itself, resulting in restricted fuel flow. This can lead to rough engine operation o r even engine misfires. Its recommended to replace the fuel filter every 30,000 to 40,000 km to maintain engine health.
