Why is my Mercedes-Benz E-Class battery frequently dying despite being relatively new?

Many owners notice that their E-Class battery drains quickly o r fails to hold a charge even though the battery itself isn’t old. Could alternator failure be the culprit, and how can I confirm this diagnosis?

If your battery keeps dying despite being new, a failing alternator is a common cause. The alternator charges the battery while the engine runs. When it malfunctions:

The battery doesn’t get fully charged, leading to frequent drain.

Electrical systems may behave erratically due to inconsistent power supply.

How to confirm: Have the charging system tested at a reliable service center. They will check alternator output voltage and battery condition. If the alternator isn’t producing the right voltage typically around 13.5-14.5 volts, it likely needs repair o r replacement.
