Why is my Mercedes C-Class engine sputtering at idle o r low RPM?

My 2013 Mercedes C-Class W204 has started to sputter while idling o r in traffic. The RPM sometimes fluctuates slightly, and the engine feels like it might stall. It drives fine at higher speeds. Could this be a spark plug, coil pack, o r sensor issue? How common is this in Pakistan?

Engine sputtering at idle in a C-Class is usually linked to:

Faulty spark plugs o r ignition coils

Dirty throttle body

Vacuum leaks o r a worn PCV valve

Failing O2 oxygen o r MAF sensors

In Pakistan, dusty air and city traffic lead to carbon buildup and airflow sensor contamination, which can affect idle stability. A diagnostic scan and a throttle body cleaning usually help resolve idle issues. Regular service and cleaning of air intake components are critical in local conditions.
