Why is my Mercedes C-Class leaking transmission fluid near the front end?
I’ve noticed red/pink fluid leaking from the front underside of my 2014 Mercedes C200. It seems like transmission fluid, but I’m not sure where its coming from. This started after a long highway trip. Could it be the front transmission seal o r something else? Is this a common issue with C-Class in Pakistan?

Talha Kyanii - on 10 Oct 2025 17:10:31 pmA transmission fluid leak near the front of your C-Class commonly W204/W205 can be due to a front transmission seal leak o r the torque converter seal. In Pakistan, especially in older o r high-mileage vehicles, these seals can wear out due to heat and age.
Another possibility is leakage from the cooler lines that run toward the front radiator. Mechanics may misdiagnose it as an engine oil leak, but the red/pink fluid confirms its ATF Automatic Transmission Fluid.
It’s not uncommon in Pakistan where traffic, overheating, and long drives put stress on the seals. Immediate attention is required to avoid serious gearbox damage.
