Why is my Mercedes C-Class taking longer to start in the morning?
Hard starting in cold mornings o r after the car has been sitting overnight can be due to old o r degraded spark plugs. In Pakistan, especially in colder regions like Murree o r Quetta, poor-quality spark plugs may struggle to create a strong spark needed for ignition. Combined with weak battery voltage o r moisture, worn plugs can delay ignition and cause long cranks before the engine starts. Regular inspection and use of OEM o r high-quality spark plugs is important to avoid this.

Gari Master - on 10 Oct 2025 18:23:25 pmLonger start times can be caused by **old o r degraded spark plugs** that don’t produce a strong spark, especially in colder climates like northern Pakistan. Moisture and weak battery voltage can worsen the problem, but worn spark plugs are often the root cause. Ensuring spark plugs are in good condition and replaced on schedule, along with using OEM o r high-quality plugs, improves starting performance.
