“Why is my Tesla Model 2 blind-spot sensor showing warnings incorrectly?”

“Why is my Tesla Model 2 blind-spot sensor showing warnings incorrectly?”

The blind-spot alert sometimes goes off when there is no vehicle nearby. Considering Pakistan’s uneven roads and heavy dust, could dirt, heat, o r misalignment of the radar sensors be the reason? What steps can I take to fix o r recalibrate the sensors?

False blind-spot warnings are usually due to radar interference, dust, o r misalignment. Pakistan’s dusty and bumpy roads can cause sensors to detect objects incorrectly.

Possible causes:

Radar sensor covers are dirty o r dusty

Sensor misalignment from bumps o r minor collisions

Heavy rain, fog, o r heat waves affecting radar performance

Software glitch in sensor fusion

What to do:

Clean the sensor areas gently with a soft cloth.

Inspect for physical damage o r misalignment if suspected, have a Tesla-certified technician adjust it.

Avoid relying solely on sensors in extreme weather conditions.

Restart o r update Tesla software to ensure sensor calibration is up to date.
