“Why is my Tesla Model 2 power window moving slowly o r getting stuck?”

One of my power windows is moving up and down much slower than usual, and sometimes it gets stuck halfway. Pakistan’s dusty environment and hot weather might be affecting the window motor o r rubber channels. How can I tell if the issue is due to dirt buildup, a weak motor, o r a calibration problem?

A slow o r stuck power window is usually caused by dust buildup, dry window channels, o r a weak window motor. Pakistan’s environment—especially in cities like Karachi, Lahore, and Islamabad—has high dust levels that can clog the window rails and increase friction.

Possible causes:

Dust o r sand trapped in the window tracks

Weatherstrip rubber becoming dry o r brittle in hot temperatures

Weak o r overheating window motor

Misaligned glass due to rough roads o r door slams

What to do:

Clean the window channels with a soft brush o r compressed air.

Apply a silicone-based lubricant to the rubber seals.

Avoid repeatedly raising/lowering the window to prevent motor overheating.
