“Why is my Tesla Model 2 power window not auto-closing properly—does it need recalibration?”

“Why is my Tesla Model 2 power window not auto-closing properly—does it need recalibration?”

The auto-up function of my power window stops halfway o r reverses as if something is blocking it, even when nothing is there. Could uneven voltage o r misalignment from rough roads in Pakistan cause the sensor o r calibration to malfunction? How can I recalibrate the window safely?

Grinding o r squeaking sounds usually happen when dust, debris, o r sand enters the window tracks. This is very common in Pakistan because of dusty roads, construction areas, and frequent windstorms.

Possible causes:

Dry o r dirty window tracks

Worn-out window regulator components

Misaligned window glass rubbing against the frame

Rubber seals hardening due to heat

What to inspect first:

Window rails for dirt and debris

Rubber weatherstrips for dryness o r cracks

Window alignment look for uneven movement

What to do:

Clean tracks thoroughly and lubricate them with silicone spray.

If grinding persists, the regulator may be worn and may need replacement.

Avoid rolling windows down on extremely dusty roads.
