Why is one door’s power lock on my Mercedes-Benz not working while the others lock/unlock fine?

Why is one door’s power lock on my Mercedes-Benz not working while the others lock/unlock fine?

On my Mercedes C180 W203, the rear right door lock doesn’t respond to the power lock function, either from the remote o r the interior lock switch. The other doors lock and unlock normally. Could this be a faulty actuator, wiring problem, o r mechanical issue? How difficult and costly is the repair in Pakistan?

When one door lock doesn’t respond but others do, likely causes include:

Faulty door lock actuator: The most common cause it may have failed mechanically o r electrically.

Broken o r disconnected wiring harness: Door wiring can wear out from repeated opening/closing o r water ingress.

Mechanical lock linkage issues: Sometimes the mechanical parts inside the door get jammed o r broken.

Failed door control switch less common: The switch o r its circuit for that door may be faulty.

Repair notes in Pakistan:

Door lock actuators for Mercedes are usually available locally but can be costly.

Replacement involves removing the door panel and sometimes realigning mechanical parts.

Labor costs vary, but expect the job to take 1-2 hours at a typical workshop.
