Why is the power window on my Mercedes-Benz C-Class not moving up o r down?

I have a Mercedes C200 W204, and recently the driver’s side power window stopped working completely. When I press the button, there’s no sound o r movement from the window. The fuse seems okay, and the battery is fine. Could it be a faulty window motor, switch, o r wiring issue? How common is this problem in Mercedes cars used in Pakistan, and what’s the usual fix?

When the power window doesn’t move at all and there’s no sound, common causes include:

Faulty window motor: Over time, motors wear out, especially in older cars o r high-mileage Japanese imports common in Pakistan.

Defective window switch: The driver’s side switch can fail due to dust, moisture, o r electrical wear.

Blown fuse o r relay: Although you checked the fuse, sometimes the relay o r wiring can be the problem.

Wiring issues: Corrosion o r broken wires in door harnesses are common due to humidity and rough road vibrations in Pakistani cities like Lahore o r Karachi.

What to do:

Test the window motor by applying direct power to isolate the problem.

Check the switch with a multimeter o r swap it with a working one if possible.

Inspect door wiring harness and connectors for corrosion o r damage.

Replace the faulty component motor, switch, o r wiring as needed.
