Why is the steering in my Mercedes-Benz E-Class feeling stiff o r heavy at low speeds?
I’ve noticed that the steering in my E-Class feels unusually heavy, especially while turning at low speeds o r during parking. What could be causing this issue? Could it be related to low power steering fluid, pump failure, o r issues with the electric steering system?

Stiff o r heavy steering at low speeds is a fairly common issue and can be caused by several factors in the E-Class:
Low Power Steering Fluid for hydraulic systems: If the fluid level is low due to a leak, the steering becomes harder.
Failing Power Steering Pump: A weak o r failing pump can’t provide the necessary pressure, especially noticeable at low speeds.
Electrical Steering Issues for newer models: Faults in the electric power steering EPS motor o r steering control module can cause heavy steering.
Steering Rack Problems: Wear and tear o r internal leakage in the steering rack can also cause stiffness.
Cold Weather o r Dirty Fluid: In colder parts of Pakistan o r with dirty, old steering fluid, the system may not function smoothly.
What to Do:
Check the fluid level if applicable, inspect for leaks, and have the steering system scanned for EPS errors. Timely maintenance and fluid replacement if required help avoid long-term damage.
