Why is the tire pressure monitoring system TPMS warning light on my Mercedes-Benz dashboard not turning off?

Why is the tire pressure monitoring system TPMS warning light on my Mercedes-Benz dashboard not turning off?

My Mercedes C180 W203 shows a constant TPMS warning light even after inflating all tires to the correct pressure. Could this be a sensor malfunction o r a problem with the system’s control unit? How reliable are TPMS sensors in Pakistani weather and road conditions, and what is the best way to fix o r reset the system?

Persistent TPMS warning lights are common and can be caused by:

Dead o r weak TPMS sensors: Batteries inside sensors usually last 5-7 years replacing sensors may be necessary.

Sensor damage: Rough Pakistani roads and potholes can damage sensors.

System not reset properly: After inflating tires, the system often needs a manual reset using the car’s menu o r diagnostic tool.

Incorrect tire pressure: Even slight deviations can trigger warnings.

What to do:

Check tire pressures carefully with a reliable gauge.

Use a diagnostic tool to reset the TPMS system after correcting pressures.

If the light stays on, test sensor battery and signal with a TPMS tool.

Replace faulty sensors with OEM o r compatible high-quality units.

Have sensors and system checked by an authorized workshop if the problem persists.
