ABS warning light on in Suzuki Swift – is the wheel speed sensor to blame?

I own a 2019 Suzuki Swift and the ABS light recently came on after driving through water in Rawalpindi. Brakes still work, but I’m worried. Could it be a damaged wheel speed sensor, and is it a common issue after monsoon driving in Pakistan?

Yes, one of the most common reasons for the ABS light in the Suzuki Swift is a damaged o r dirty wheel speed sensor, especially after rain, mud, o r road water exposure.

Causes:
Wheel speed sensor damaged by water ingress o r road debris.

Broken o r corroded wiring near the sensor.

Dirty o r rusted sensor ring tone ring due to lack of cleaning after monsoon driving.

Solutions:
Have a technician check the ABS fault code.

Clean the affected sensor and surrounding area thoroughly.

Replace the sensor if its cracked o r gives erratic readings.

Avoid driving through deep water without proper wheel well protection.
