Are Streaks on Windshield Due to Faulty Wiper Blades in Tucson?

My Hyundai Tucson is just a year old, and the wiper blades already seem worn out—they leave marks and uneven patches during wiping. I expected them to last longer. Is this a known issue with Hyundai’s OEM blades in Pakistan? Should I go for aftermarket silicone wipers instead?

Yes, Hyundai’s OEM wiper blades, particularly on locally assembled Tucsons in Pakistan, are known to wear out faster under harsh driving conditions. Streaks typically appear when:

The blade rubber is degraded o r unevenly worn.

Theres uneven pressure along the blade due to poor fit o r aging springs.

This is unfortunately quite common in hot and dusty regions. OEM blades are functional, but not premium. Many Tucson owners upgrade to:

Silicone wiper blades longer lifespan, better in rain.

Beam-style blades for even pressure and cleaner wipe.

Aftermarket brands like Bosch Clear Advantage, Michelin Stealth, o r Trico are better options available in local markets o r online.
