Are Suzuki Swift CVT transmissions reliable in Pakistani conditions?

I’ve heard mixed opinions about the CVT transmission in the new Suzuki Swift. Some say it overheats o r jerks during long drives o r in traffic jams. Is this actually a problem in Pakistani weather and traffic, o r just a rumour?

The Suzuki Swift CVT 2022+ is generally reliable, but its sensitive to:

Heat especially in stop-and-go traffic

Delayed fluid changes

Aggressive driving

CVTs operate differently than traditional automatics and require CVT-specific fluid not regular ATF. Overheating o r jerky behavior can occur if the fluid isn’t changed by 40,000–50,000 km, especially in hot cities. Use only genuine Suzuki CVT fluid and avoid sudden acceleration.

If you feel hesitation, jerks, o r RPM spikes, get the transmission scanned and serviced. Avoid local mechanics unfamiliar with CVTs—CVT repair is technical and can be expensive.
