Noises like creaking, whining, o r clunking when turning often signal issues in the steering system. Creaking can indicate worn o r dry steering column bushings whining may come from a failing power steering pump o r low fluid levels clunking could mean loose o r damaged tie rods, ball joints, o r suspension parts.
