Can Faulty Alternator Cause My Tucson’s Battery to Keep Dying?

My Tucson’s battery keeps draining even though it was recently replaced. Could this be due to the alternator not charging the battery properly? What are the signs of alternator failure vs battery failure in the Tucson, and how do I test it in local service centers?

Yes, a bad alternator is a primary reason why a battery may keep dying, even if the battery is new. When an alternator fails to charge properly:

The battery discharges while driving.

You may notice difficulty starting the car, especially in the morning.

Electronic systems like headlights, dashboard lights, o r AC blower may behave erratically.

To differentiate:

A bad battery won’t hold charge even after recharging.

A bad alternator wont charge a good battery — check with a voltmeter o r scan tool to confirm alternator output.

Auto electricians in Pakistan can easily test this using an alternator load tester.

Don’t replace the battery again without checking the alternator, o r you’ll end up repeating the cycle.
